The PACWEST women’s bronze medal match is set to go and opens Championship Saturday afternoon as the Blues and Cascades meet in a rematch of the 2018 bronze medal contest. That season the Cascades swept the Blues 25-18, 25-20 and 25-22.
Speaking of the fourth seeded Cascades, they lost in three straight sets to the top seeded VIU Mariners on Friday after winning their quarterfinal in five thrilling sets on Thursday over the COTR Avalanche. The Blues meanwhile upset the third seeded Douglas Royals on Thursday, then fell in three straight to the second seeded Camosun Chargers on Friday to appear into today’s match. The Blues are making their sixth appearance in the PACWEST bronze medal match and are 4-1 in the previous matches. Two of those four victories came against the Cascades.
