Event Information
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, welcome to the 2020 PACWEST Volleyball Championships hosted by Douglas College. Located in New Westminster, the New West Campus is home to the Royals Volleyball programs. Douglas College is situated on the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish Peoples of the QayQayt (New Westminster Campus) and Kwikwetlm (Coquitlam Campus) First Nations.
We look forward to hosting our PACWEST member institutions and wish everyone the best of luck for the Championships.

VIP Lounge
The VIP Lounge will be located at the Mezzanine level of the gymnasium. Access will be provided to our accredited VIP guests.
Concession
A concession will be located court level between the bleachers in the gymnasium.
During Tournament
During the event, daily press releases will be posted on the tournament website as well as on all relevant social media platforms. Results will also be sent to the local media.

Practice Times
Practice times will be available on February 19– 22 at Douglas College. Please see schedule below for details.
NOTE: Spring Commencement will be taken place on campus Thursday, February 20 and Friday, February 21. We will be taking measures to minimize and reduce noise during the ceremonies. i.e Music volume.
- Teams are expected to provide their own Athletic Therapist and supplies. We kindly ask you to clean up after your practice time
- Please contact Mark Slota at slotam@douglascollege.ca by Tuesday, February 11th, 2020 with your requested time for Wednesday practice
The final practice schedule will be sent out to all participating schools no later than Friday, February 14th, 2020.

25 minute warm-ups (minimum) will be allotted on court before each match after the net is set
Awards
PACWEST League All-Stars, Coach of the Year, and Rookie of the Year awards will be presented prior to the start of the team’s first match.
Player of the Match awards will be presented to one (1) player from each team at the end of the matches.
The Bronze medal will be presented after each Bronze Medal match.
After the Gold Medal match the following awards will be presented:
- Tournament all-stars (6)
- Tournament MVP (1)
- Silver Medals
- Gold Medals
- PACWEST Volleyball Championship banner and trophy
Athletic Therapy
Therapy will be available for use during the tournament. Teams are required to supply your own medical supplies. For more information on support, please contact Nick Murray at murrayn@douglascollege.ca
Team Rooms
All teams will have access to a change room before and after each match (N1231, N1119, N1220, and N1222). The assigned rooms will be marked with team names/logos. Teams will have access to their assigned room 1 hour prior to their match. Teams must remove belongings from the room prior to the start of the match.
Uniforms
The higher seeded team for each match will be designated as the HOME team and will wear the light coloured uniforms. The lower seed will wear the darker coloured uniforms.
Match Video
All matches will be recorded. Coaches must supply their own USB stick to receive a copy of the match. Please note that matches will also be uploaded to HUDL.
Match Stats
Statistics will be provided to each team by the end of the day.
Grievance/Protest Committee
As per the PACWEST policy; the head official, PACWEST Executive, Tournament Committee, Conveners or designate will comprise the committee. A copy of the Grievance/Protest procedures will be provided at the Coaches’ Meeting.
Coaches Conference Call
The Coaches Conference Call will take place on Thursday, February 13 at 8:00am. All teams are required to have a representative present on the call. The number to call and agenda will be circulated one week prior to the call set a date.
Towel Service
Towel service will be provided to ONLY the officials and the table crew.
Parking
Underground parking at the New West Campus on Thursday and Friday will be limited due to Winter Graduation.
Additional parking will be available at the Carnarvon Tower Parkade (720 Carnarvon St, New Westminster, BC). Daily parking charges will apply.
Charter Bus & Team Van Parking: Parking for larger vehicles i.e. Charter buses, 24 passengers, etc is available upon request. For more information, contact Spencer Harris at email: harriss4@douglascollege.ca
Photographs
Photos will be taken throughout the tournament. Photos will be posted on the Royals Athletics Flickr account and can be accessed through the schedule and results pages.
