Cascades Win Bronze
The UFV Cascades sweep the Capilano Blues in the PACWEST medal match

The UFV Cascades win their fourth PACWEST volleyball bronze medal as they defeat Capilano Blues 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Cascades' player of the match was Sedona Arabsky who racked in eight kills to lead the way. Amanda Matsui was also a major factor finishing with 11 kills and 10 digs.
The matchup started off with both teams battling back and forth until the score was tied at 13. The Cascades then broke out as they outscored the Blues 12-2 to take the first set 25-15.
The Cascades momentum continued as eight unanswered points early in the second set helped them once again take it 25-15.
They then secured the bronze medal in the third set after coming back from a 23-20 deficit, taking it 25-23.
The Blues payer of the match was veteran Meghan Koven in her final PACWEST match finishing with six kills and nine digs. Jaylene Lucas collected eight kills while Brooke Lightburn finished with 11 digs.
The Cascades win their first PACWEST medal since the 2017-18 season when they beat the Blues for the bronze medal.
