Men's Bronze Medal Preview
The Douglas Royals meet the Capilano Blues for the second straight season
The PACWEST men’s bronze medal match is a rematch of last year’s tilt between the Douglas Royals and Capilano Blues that the Royals won in four sets. The top seeded Royals were upset by the #4 seeded VIU Mariners in last night’s semi-final. Today’s match at 3:00pm MST/2:00pm PST will be a quick turnaround following the heartbreaking loss. The Blues on the other hand won their quarterfinal on Thursday in a sweep of the CBC Bearcats, but then were beat by the #2 Camosun Chargers in four sets in Friday’s semi. During the regular season the Royals lost just four times, however three of those losses came at the hands of the Blues. They faced each other in the regular season finale and they split the weekend.
