The Chargers sweep the Avs in the semis and move onto the gold medal game
The Camosun Chargers made quick work of the COTR Avalanche in a three set sweep and will now play for the Provincial gold medal on Saturday.
The tune of the match changed when the Avalanche lost Rookie of the Year Patrik Toze to a low body injury. Following that play the life seem to get sucked out of the fifth seed as they tried to look for offence in other areas.
The Chargers snap a three match playoff losing streak to the Avalanche winning 25-19. 25-19 and 25-17.
Alexander Sadowski was named the Player of the Match, collecting eight kills including the match winner and had five blocks. Savana Walkingbear had a match high 12 kills and Rian Plante tallied six kills and three blocks.
The Chargers will face the Douglas Royals in the gold medal match on Saturday at 8:00pm. Regardless of the outcome, both teams will represent the PACWEST the CCAA National championship tournament. The Avalanche on the other hand will face the VIU Mariners in the Bronze medal match at 3:00pm.
