Veteran guard Makayla Kimble shares her basketball story being so far from home

Did you know there are 3064.4kms between Fayetteville North Carolina and Nanaimo?

That’s the distance home for VIU Mariners veteran guard Makayla Kimble. She is in her fifth and final season of eligibility in the PACWEST and has been a major part of the Mariners success that last two seasons.  She runs the show on the floor and has the offensive touch to contribute on the scoresheet as well averaging eight points a game and shooting 32% from the field.

She sits down with Ryan Watters and explains why she is so far from home, shares about her big family in North Carolina and some Canadian food she’s tested in a few different spots.
