Aimee Skinner – VIU Mariners

Island rivalry matchups between VIU and Camosun always bring out memorable performances, and VIU’s first-year outside hitter Aimee Skinner stepped to the forefront of two 3-1 Mariner wins on the road. Playing all eight sets of the weekend, Skinner led VIU in total offense, kills, and aces in both games. She was the only Mariner to earn double-digit kills on Friday as her stats included 17 kills, four aces, a block and 11 digs. She followed that up with 15 kills, three aces, a block, and 10 digs on Saturday. Her performances were a massive contribution to the Mariners clinching the top seed in the PACWEST conference with two weeks of regular season play remaining.
