Male Basketball Athlete of the Week
Royce Sargeant – Langara Falcons

The veteran guard continues his torrid play this season, this time helping the Falcons stop a four-game losing skid in a weekend sweep at Columbia Bible College. On Friday, he did most of his work in the second half when the Falcons needed it the most, scoring 21 of his 27 total points. The Falcons found themselves down 42-40 at the half, and Royce’s offensive output helped hold the Bearcats off. He added eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals to complete the night. On Saturday, he was much more balanced finishing with 31 points on the night in a Falcons 83-82 victory over the higher seeded Bearcats. He added six boards, two steals, and had an assist.
