Emma Schill – VIU Mariners

The top two seeds in the PACWEST battled to finish off the regular season and Emma Schill’s leadership and work offensively and defensively helped the Mariners earn two road wins at Capilano—including a tight five-set match on Saturday afternoon. Schill passed a 2.3 and 2.1 on the weekend, regularly allowing the Mariners to set up for offensive opportunities. She led the Mariners in total offense (25) over the weekend from 22 kills, two aces, and had a block. She also contributed 24 digs, including a team-high of 15 in Friday’s matchup and her kill late in the fifth set on Saturday put the Mariners up 14-12 before her club closed out the match shortly afterwards.
