Avalanche Stuck At Home
Women's head coach Bryan Fraser discusses another missed PACWEST weekend
For the second time in as many weeks the COTR Avalanche volleyball teams will have to sit at home and watch the PACWEST action online with a pair of postponed matches.
The Avalanche were scheduled to travel to the Island to face the VIU Mariners and Camosun Chargers last weekend, however following the major storm that caused flooding to the lower mainland the trip was postponed. The flooding and road closures on Highway 1 and 3 forced them to stay home. The same holds true for this coming weekend as the Avalanche were set to host their home opener against the Capilano Blues.
Unfortunately for the Avalanche, this is the final weekend of PACWEST volleyball before the Christmas break. This means the Avs won’t see live action until their schedule resumes on January 21st when they host Camosun, 75 days after the last time they played on November 7th.
Women’s head coach Bryan Fraser talks with Ryan Watters about the long layoff.
