Where Are They Now Wednesday: Galitzine
She left the Camosun Chargers with a CCAA silver medal, but where is Stephanie Galitzine now?
For three seasons Stephanie Galitzine was a member of the Camosun Chargers women’s volleyball team, helping them to a CCAA silver medal in 2017 on her home court.
Galitzine didn’t see much playing time in her rookie season in 2015-2016 behind two talented Chargers including Michelle Zygmunt and Katie Fetting. She was able to learn the speed of the game and what was expected from a power hitter in their offensive system.
By the time her third PACWEST season came along in 2017-2018 the Victoria native was among the Conference leaders in total points and kills. Unfortunately an injury forced her to stop her collegiate volleyball career after the season.
She stayed involved with the team to finish her bachelor of Sport and Fitness Leadership – Exercise & Wellness at Camosun. She is now a certified kinesiologist, clinical exercise physiologist and yoga teacher. She is currently working remotely through the pandemic with InspireHealth Supportive Cancer Care based in Vancouver. Since working remotely online allows her to live in any location, Galitzine has recently moved to Whistler and began working with Peak Training.
She explains where she is now with Ryan Watters.
