Women's Soccer Week 4 Preview
Four very important games for the PACWEST standings
This is an important weekend for all four schools with critical points in the standings on the line.
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 28
Capilano Blues @ Langara Falcons – Saturday September 28, 12:00pm | WATCH HERE
It’s just the second meeting of the season between these two schools after the Blues clobbered the Falcons 5-0 two weeks ago. Michaela Salvino scored twice and sister Amaya made eight saves for the clean sheet.
The Blues are winless in their last three and haven’t won since that shutout of the Falcons, losing and tying the doubleheader last weekend.
Meanwhile the Falcons split last weekend and recorded their first victory of the year. They will meet the Blues this weekend as part of a home-and-home.
Douglas Royals @ VIU Mariners – Saturday September 28, 12:30pm | WATCH HERE
The Mariners host the Royals for a weekend doubleheader in Nanaimo. It’ll be the second and third meetings of the season.
For the Royals, they currently sit in first place, just one point in front of the Mariners and are coming off a weekend split, recording a 2-0 victory in their last game. The last time they saw the Mariners the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Through the first six games, the Mariners have picked up points in each and every one of them and have yet to suffer a defeat. They are a point behind the Royals for first place and are back at home after four straight on the road.
