Women's Soccer Saturday
Two games are scheduled on the final Saturday of the regular season
The PACWEST soccer regular season wraps this coming weekend with games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
Capilano Blues @ Douglas Royals – Saturday October 22, 1:00pm – Cunnings Field | WATCH HERE
It’s the front half of a home-and-home as both teams have first-place aspirations with just two points separating them in the standings with two games to play.
The Blues currently sit second, a point out of first place. They are the hottest team in the PACWEST winning six of their last seven games. One of those wins was a 3-2 victory over the Royals. Incredibly their last six games have been decided by just a single goal. Saturday is also their last road game of the season as they host the Royals on Sunday, then host the PACWEST championship the following weekend.
The Royals are three points back of first place and are coming off a winless weekend at VIU. They lost the first game 3-1, then played in a scoreless tie the next day. They do have a win over the Blues this season, beating them 1-0 on September 17th.

Langara Falcons @ VIU Mariners – Saturday October 22, 3:00pm – NDSS Field | WATCH HERE
The first place Mariners will look to keep their three-game unbeaten streak intact when they host the Falcons on Saturday and Sunday to conclude the regular season. The Mariners played to a scoreless tie last game and are in the middle of four straight home matches. They have beaten the Falcons twice this season and haven’t allowed a goal winning 1-0 and 3-0. Keeper Kaiden Thorpe has earned both shutouts.
The Falcons are going to try and play the spoiler card this weekend looking for their first win. They have already been eliminated from the PACWEST championship tournament but are looking to finish on a winning note.
