The Royals welcome the Blues while the Mariners host the Falcons

Following their 4-1 win yesterday the Royals will hold their home opener as they welcome the Capilano Blues. All four of the Royals goals were scored in the second half when Morgan Price, Alicia Skirzyk, N’Dae John and Hannah dela Cruz each found the back of the net erasing a Langara Falcon 1-0 lead at the half.
The Blues home opener yesterday was postponed due to the poor field conditions following Friday night’s storm. The Blues are the defending PACWEST silver medalists from 2019.
Langara Falcons (0-1) @ VIU Mariners (0-0) – NDSS Turf Field – 12:00pm | WATCH HERE
The defending PACWEST champion Marines will open their season today when they host the Falcons. Yesterday the Mariners were scheduled to visit the Capilano Blues but poor field conditions postponed that game.
In yesterday’s home opener the Falcons had a 1-0 lead at halftime on Cassidy Kwan’s first goal of the season, but couldn’t hold down the Douglas Royals in the second half losing 4-1.

Langara Falcons (1-0) @ VIU Mariners (0-0) – NDSS Turf Field – 2:15pm | WATCH HERE
The Falcons scored a 2-1 win over the Douglas Royals in yesterday’s home opener. Both goals were scored in the second half as Rafael Jorge and Athos Michellpis de Siqueira each found the back of the net. Keeper Aleks Kalajdzic made five saves in the victory.
Yesterday the Mariners had their season opener at Capilano postponed due to poor field conditions. The Mariners see their first PACWEST action since 2019 when they finished atop of the standings.

The Royals are looking to bounce back after falling in their season opener yesterday 2-1 to the Langara Falcons. Ryosuke Sudo scored the lone goal in extra time yesterday giving the Royals some momentum coming into today’s home opener.
Meanwhile the Blues home opener yesterday was postponed due to the poor field conditions following Friday night’s storm.
