PACWEST Spotlight - Taylor Wettig
A fifth year veteran this year as Taylor Wettig is under the PACWEST Spotlight
Now in her fifth and final year Taylor Wettig of the Douglas Royals is trying to help her team get back to the PACWEST gold medal game. She then ultimately wants to get back to the CCAA national championship, in which the Royals hosted last year for another chance to win a national title.
Since Wettig moved from Kwantlan to Douglas, the Royals have played at the CCAA national championship tournament every year, winning a bronze in 2016. She’s also captured a PACWEST gold (2017) and a silver (2016).
This season she is not only a leader on the field, but in the locker room and on the practice pitch for the younger players as well. She has tallied one goal this season and will push for more as the season goes on.
Just before the 2019 PACWEST campaign opened, Wettig went under the PACWEST Spotlight with Ryan Watters to talk about her career and some other fun.
