Karishma Rai – Douglas Royals

With many of her teammates out due to injury and illness, third year guard Karishma Rai stepped up with a strong offensive performance, leading the Royals to a weekend sweep of the visiting Okanagan Coyotes. On Friday night, she exploded for 26 points, including 57% shooting from the three-point line. She also chipped in two assists, two steals and grabbed four rebounds. Then on Saturday, with the bench further depleted, she continued her hot hand, scoring 21 points on 50% shooting from downtown. Rai showcased a complete performance, contributing eight rebounds, three assists and had a steal.
