The Langara Falcons have a new head coach for the women's basketball program

Langara College is excited to welcome Adriano Catena as the new head coach of the Falcons women’s basketball program.
Catena joins the Falcons after serving as the assistant coach at the University of British Columbia for the past four years.
During the 2023-2024 season, he helped lead the Thunderbirds to a third place Canada West finish with an overall record of 22-9. He has over 12 years of experience coaching high school, university and professional aged athletes.
Coach Catena graduated with a Bachelor of Communications from Universidad Catolica Argentina in Buenos Aries.
His first order of business will be to recruit a competitive team that will look to get back to the PACWEST playoffs for the second straight season in 2025-2026.
