Best in Class: Mackenzie Dalphond
The sensational Douglas Royals rookie forward
What a rookie debut for Mackenzie Dalphond of the Douglas Royals women’s basketball team, leading her club to a PACWEST gold and a berth at the CCAA national championship.
During the regular season believe it or not she wasn’t the Royals top scorer averaging under eight points a game and just over six rebounds. With each game, she became more and more comfortable and went into the PACWEST championship tournament on a high. She was a dominating force scoring points, blocking shots and disrupting the overall flow of the opposition.
After the Royals incredible title run, she was named the PACWEST tournament Most Valuable Player…as a rookie!
She is enrolled in the nursing program at Douglas and talks with Ryan Watters about the transition from high school to college along with juggling a varsity sport. She is a PACWEST Best in Class.
