Camosun Chargers 40

The defending PACWEST champion Mariners earned a weekend sweep with another lopsided win at Camosun on Saturday after outscoring the Chargers 18-6 in the first quarter.

In all the Mariners shot 39% from the field and had very balanced scoring. Amber Lease and Courtney Buckley each dropped 13 points and Shayce Johnston was outstanding under the hoop grabbing 16 rebounds to complement her eight points.

The Chargers struggled against the Mariners defence shooting 22% and only had one scorer reach the double-digit plateau when Madyson Hautz scored 10.

Langara Falcons 47

The Royals collected their second straight road victory over the Falcons with a blowout win on Saturday shooting 38% from the field. Jenessa Knapp had a game high 18 points and Laini Glover had 13 and 12 rebounds. Karalee Antoine came off the bench for 13 more points leading the reserves.

On the other side the Falcons struggled offensively but did have Jayna Wilson score a team high 14 points.

Capilano Blues 81
CBC Bearcats 43

The Blues continue to roll with their third victory of the season with a big win on Saturday over the Bearcats. They would blow the game wide open outscoring the visitors 23-9 in the third quarter. Devon Wood came off the bench to lead all scorers with 20 points while Meagan Briggs tallied 14 and eight rebounds. Every member of the roster hit the scoresheet with at least one point.

For the second straight night Ryann Lee led the Bearcats offensively with 17 points.
