The Mariners, Chargers Blues capture the "W" on Friday

The Chargers played their first road game of the season and completely dominated the Coyotes, jumping out fast outscoring them 30-19. They shot 43.6% from the field and 54% from downtown connecting on 13 of 24 attempts. Tessa Lannon-Paakspuu led all scorers with 28 points and had eight rebounds. She got to the line 14 times and hit 11 of them. Both Jasmine de Vries and Chloe Scaber dropped 15 points each.
The Coyotes offence shot 40% from the field and 50% from behind the arch but it wasn’t enough as they fell into a big hole in that first quarter. Elizabeth Henne came off the bench to score 12 points and Jordan Andres scored 11.
On Saturday the Chargers (2-1) will play at CBC against the Bearcats (0-2) at 3:00pm. WATCH HERE

The Mariners set the tone early outscoring the Bearcats 21-2 in the first quarter and cruised to their third win of the season. They shot 42% from the field as 11 of the 12 players on the roster scored at least one bucket. Courtney Buckley came off the bench to lead all scorers with 16 points and Aliza Dueck and Kayla Gromme each scored 12.
The Bearcats struggled shooting 23% from the field. Emma Letkemann led her team with nine points.
Saturday the Mariners (3-0) travel to the Okanagan to face the Coyotes (2-1) at 5:00pm. WATCH HERE
