Week 3 of the PACWEST season is in the books
THURSDAY
Douglas Royals 73
Capilano Blues 68
The Royals held off a late surge from the Blues to capture the victory. They shot 42% from the field as Sydney Fraess scored a game high 23 points and Rachel Beauchamp had a double-double of 18 points and 10 boards. Jessica Castillo came off the bench and added 13.
The Blues shot 39% from the field but had 18 turnovers. Offensively Simrat Dosanjh had 16 points, nailing four-three pointers. Alessia Brutto and Reiko Ohama each dropped in 15 points.
FRIDAY
VIU Mariners 72
Langara Falcons 51
The Mariners move to 5-0 with a solid home win over the Falcons. They shot 37% from the field as Shayce Johnston knocked down 14 points and Emma Platner added 12.
The Falcons played with just seven players and shot 32% from the field. Breanne Homeniuk finished with 15 points and Eloise Faehndrich added 14.
Camosun Chargers 91
CBC Bearcats 56
The Chargers were very well balanced as all but one player on the roster scored at least one bucket. Kathryn Candell came off the bench and led the way with 23 points, hitting three-three pointers. Chloe Scaber added 17.
The Bearcats actually had a better shooting percentage, shooting 45% from the field. Harvina Kaler scored 22 points to lead her club and Cass Prevost added 11.

Okanagan Coyotes 57
It was a back and forth game before the Royals pulled away in the final quarter outscoring them 24-17. They shot 42% from the field led by the 16 points from Sydney Fraess. Rachel Beauchamp again was a force dropping 10 points and grabbing 12 boards.
The Coyotes were led by Megan Admussen-Blair and his game high 22 points.
SATURDAY
Camosun Chargers 76
Langara Falcons 69
Down by five points heading into the final frame the Chargers picked up their game and outscored the Falcons 31-19 in the final frame to come back and win. Mia Roberts came off the bench to lead the Chargers with 19 points. Kathryn Candell added 15 also off the bench.
The Falcons had just six players and shot 42% from the field but couldn’t fend off the Chargers. Ainsliegh Mensah led all scorers with 22 points and also picked up 10 rebounds. Breanne Homeniuk scored 20 points.
Okanagan Coyotes 71
Capilano Blues 58
The Coyotes offence shot 40% from the field led by Megan Admussen-Blair and her 15 points. Nicole Hart chipped in with 14 and also hauled in 11 rebounds.
The Blues were a bit surprised by the Coyotes and turned the ball over 25 times. Offensively they shot 33% and Alessia Brutto was the only Blue to reach double-digits with 16 points and 17 rebounds.
VIU Mariners 91
CBC Bearcats 27
It was the most lopsided score of the season. Offensively for the Mariners, every player on the roster scored on Saturday. Emma Platner scored 16 points and hit four-three pointers while Shayce Johnston scored 12 and had 11 rebounds. Emily Clarke came off the bench for 13 points.
The Bearcat offence struggled only scoring two points in the second quarter. Cass Prevost was the only player to hit double-digits as she dropped in 10 points.
