In February Quest University confirmed with the PACWEST that they would be ending their variety athletic program following the 2018 season.
Despite the news the women’s and men’s basketball teams still had five games remaining on their schedule plus the PACWEST championship tournament. To the credit of the athletes and coaches they continued to fight and would qualify for the playoffs.
Now that the season is over where does that leave the student athletes and coaches? During the PACWEST basketball tournament both Kermodes teams were eliminated in the quarterfinal. Women’s head coach Dany Charlery who also serves as the school’s Associate Athletic Director talked with Ryan Watters about the announcement and what the next chapter looks like.
