The Chargers, Blues and Falcons rebound for a victory on Saturday

The Chargers bounced back after losing on Friday night with a solid performance on Saturday afternoon shooting 44% from the field and 46.7% from behind the arch. Four players recorded double-digits as both Tessa Lannon-Paakspuu and Ella Goldschmid each had 18 points. Mia Roberts was good as well scoring 14 points and Aija Salvador finished with four-three pointers.
The Royals shooters went cold compared to their win on Friday. On Saturday they shot 28% despite a 14 and 14 double-double from Rachel Beauchamp. Nanaya Mki led her club with 17 points.

VIU Mariners 51
The Mariners again came out hot outscoring the Blues 14-9, but then the Blues defence took over. They forced 14 turnovers and managed nine steals holding the Mariners offence to just 23% from the field.
Offensively the Blues were led by Emma Cunningham’s 21 points and the double-double from Carmelle M’Bikata who had 12 and 10. Both Ashley dela Cruz Yip and Francis Penafiel each had 12 points.
The Mariners found less spacing on the floor on Saturday as the Blues clamped down. Kaitlyn LaFontaine scored a team high 13 points and Shayce Johnston dropped in 11.

Keeping the PACWEST trend alive on Saturday the Falcons bounced back from a Friday loss, shot 34% and claimed a seven point victory. Trisha Pajayon and Coco Suave led their offence respectively with 15 and 14 points while Carly Dhanda, who also plays for the Falcons soccer team, came off the bench for 11 points.
The Bearcats tried to counter with three players in the double-digits led by the 17 points from Sarah Rozendal who connected on four-three point shots. Anna Kamerman added a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
