CBC Athletics is excited to announce Ethan Larson as the new head coach of the men’s volleyball program!
A proud Columbia Bible College alumnus, Ethan returns to the Bearcats with deep roots in the community and a strong vision for the future of the program.
“Since the beginning of my coaching journey, it has been a dream of mine to come back to Columbia Bible College and coach the men’s volleyball program. CBC was where I started my playing career and I’ve always hoped to circle back. The culture of the team, the fans, and the school hold some of the best memories of my playing career. I am thrilled to invest in the lives of the athletes and be part of a program that seeks to honour God first and build a winning culture that competes every night in the PACWEST,” says Larson.
Ethan brings a wealth of experience to the role. He holds a degree in Counseling and Human Services from CBC and recently completed his Master’s in Leadership and Management from Briercrest College and Seminary, where his graduate research focused on building competitive cultures rooted in faith. He has coached extensively across BC and Western Canada, from provincial teams and volleyball camps to founding Phoenix Volleyball Club, establishing strong recruiting networks across Canada.
His coaching philosophy centers on developing character-driven athletes, fostering a culture of disciplined excellence, and building competitive systems that translate into success on the court.
With Ethan at the helm, the Bearcats men’s program is poised to grow in strength, purpose, and impact—on the court, in the classroom, and in the community.
