Chargers Are National Champs
For the second time in school history the Camosun Chargers win a national gold

Call it a storybook ending for head coach Charles Parkinson as his Camosun Chargers swept the Titans de Limoilou in Sunday’s national gold medal match to win their second national championship in school history.
The Chargers didn’t lose a set during the championship tournament and were extremely well-balanced in the gold medal match. Vitor Pereira led the way with a match high 15 kills, collected four service aces, two blocks and three digs. Eduardo Bida added 10 kills, had a block assist and five digs while Dale McDonnell and Jacob Ringma each had five kills. Rookie setter Lucas Maffia controlled the offence with 34 assists.
This was the last match in the amazing career of head coach Charles Parkinson who will now retire a two-time national champion. His first came back in 2015 when the Chargers also beat the Titans.
Following the match the CCAA announced the championship All-Stars and tournament MVP.
