PACWEST Best In Class - Jonathan Lee
An extremely smart libero for the Capilano Blues, Lee will enter his fourth year
This past PACWEST men’s volleyball season the Capilano Blues defence was anchored by third year libero Jonathan Lee.
The defensive expert led the PACWEST in digs collecting 244 in the 94 sets he played averaging 2.6 digs each set. Lee always seemed to be in the right place at the right time for the Blues who finished 18-6 during the regular season. During the PACWEST championship tournament he collected six digs in their quarterfinal victory over the CBC Bearcats.
Then in their semi-final loss to Camosun the Vancouver native had a match high 10 digs as they moved onto the bronze medal match. The Blues then upset the top seeded Douglas Royals to win bronze as Lee helped defensively with a team high five digs.
In the classroom Lee is focussing on business at Capilano and specifically accounting.
He is highlighted in the PACWEST's “Best In Class,” a feature focused on the student athletes across the Conference that are leaving their mark on athletics and academics.
