The Blues and Royals score wins on Friday night

UFV Cascades 0
The Royals continue to roll and are now 6-0 after sweeping the Cascades on Friday night. Offensively they were balanced as Ben Shand led the charge with 10 kills while Reid Marriott and Max Haronga each had nine.
The offence ran through setter Jared Collin and his 26 assists.
The Cascades struggled to find a rhythm offensively as Matt Whittall and Ben Friesen each collected seven kills.
Saturday afternoon the Royals and Cascades will duke it out again.
Capilano Blues 3
VIU Mariners 2
The Blues move to 5-0 after an exciting five-set thriller in front of their home fans. Each set was extremely close including a 15-13 fifth set to give the Blues the victory.
Setter Simon Friesen quarterbacked the offence with 30 assists. Jacob Hopkins collected 10 kills and Markiel Simpson and Max Clarke each tallied seven.
The Mariners offence ran through setter Keal Prince who tallied 36 assists. Eleven Mariners collected at least one kill led by the nine from each Daniel Mascarenhas and Jeff Webb.
Saturday afternoon the Blues and Mariners will hit the court again at 3:00pm.
