Best In Class: Joel Kleingeltink

He was named a CCAA Academic All-Canadian this past season after playing in 80 sets and collecting a team high 268 kills.  Power hitter Joel Kleingeltink was a fourth year business student athlete at the University of the Fraser Valley last season and helped the Cascades to a berth in the PACWEST Provincial championship tournament.

His 268 kills was third most in the PACWEST and was the best player of the floor when the Cascades faced the eventual Provincial champion Camosun Chargers.  In four matches Kleingeltink collected 68 kills, more than any other Cascade.

The Langley native helped the Cascades to a 14-10 fourth place finish during the regular season.

Kleingeltink is highlighted in the PACWEST's Best In Class, a feature focused on the student athletes across the Conference that are leaving their mark on athletics and academics.
