Takerun Kaku - Langara Falcons

Takeru Kaku had a very strong season opening weekend for the Falcons on the road at VIU.  On Saturday, the second-year centre-back helped disrupt the Mariners offence and limited them to a pair of goals. On the offensive end, he generated a few opportunities of his own but couldn’t find the back of the net.  Then on Sunday, he was brilliant on both ends of the pitch, helping the Falcons shut the Mariners out in a 5-0 victory. On the offensive side, he would bookend his club’s scoring, first in the 24th minute off a header coming off a corner kick to get the Falcons on the board.  Then with time ticking away in the second half, he scored his second of the game off another corner in the 78’ minute.
