It’s the first of a weekend doubleheader between these two teams who haven’t seen each other in a couple of weeks. The Mariners are back at home after four straight road games, and are looking for their first home win. They were outscored 6-0 on opening weekend. They are playing much better as of late and have won two straight with two consecutive shutouts.
The Royals have struggled this season in their title defence with only one win. They haven’t scored in three straight games but will be looking to turn that around this weekend on the road.
