Two Very Important Games
The Mariners entertain the Falcons and the Blues visit the Royals on Sunday

After the rainout on Saturday the Falcons and Mariners meet for the final time this season. So far in the seasonal series the previous two games had drama and high intensity. During Week 1 the Mariners held on for a 2-1 victory despite several chances by the pressing Falcons. Then on October 2nd they played to a 1-1 tie when Takumi Ota scored for the Falcons, then Taylor Arbour tied it for the Mariners in the second half.
Coming into this afternoon the top seeded Mariners are three points in front of the Falcons with three games to play, while the Falcons hold the final playoff spot, but just one point up on the Capilano Blues. With the standings so tight, this is an important match-up for both teams.

Both teams had their games rained out on Saturday, setting up an extremely important match-up on Sunday when the Royals welcome the Blues. Just three points separates these two teams in the standings.
Their previous two meetings have been incredibly close. In Week 1 the Blues held on for a 4-3 victory despite the Royals pressing late and scoring all three goals in extra time. Then on October 2nd the Royals recorded a 2-0 shutout as keeper Justin Bint stopped two shots in between the pipes and Yianni Siafakas scored both goals. Sunday’s game is the seasonal series rubber match.
