PACWEST Best in Class - Ben Beaulieu
Second year midfielder from the Douglas Royals men's soccer team and taking criminology
It’s been a while since the Douglas Royals men’s soccer team saw live action. If you’re scoring at home, it’s been 508 days since the Royals fell in the CCAA bronze medal game against the Saint-Lambert Cavaliers 1-0. Oddly enough that was the same score that the Royals claimed the PACWEST gold medal in 2019 when they shutout the VIU Mariners for a berth in the national championship tournament.
The last time the Royals played Ben Beaulieu was a rookie, helping his club patrol the midfield. He’s now in his second year, but like the rest of the roster hasn’t seen playing time in over a year so has focused on his academics.
Currently in his second year of the Criminology program at Douglas, Beaulieu has aspirations of working in law enforcement after graduating. He speaks to Ryan Watters about being a student athlete in the PACWEST as a Best in Class.
