Ahmad Athman – Capilano Blues

It was a heck of a weekend for the Capilano Blues, upsetting both the first and second seeds to win PACWEST gold on their home floor, including a double-overtime victory on Friday night. 

Guard Ahmad Athman was named the tournament MVP and was spectacular in their three wins en route to gold.  He shot 48% from the field, knocked down four critical three-pointers and was 42% from the free throw line.  Offensively he averaged over 17 points and four rebounds a game, and added 16 assists and four steals over the course of the tournament.
