This was a very exciting and competitive game on Thursday night as the Royals (7-14) earned a gritty road win shooting 43% from the field and connected on 10-three pointers.
This victory snapped the Royals six-game losing streak and gives them momentum heading into their final three games of the regular season. Jeevan Sidhu (pictured) was great knocking down six of their 10-three pointers and finished the ballgame with a team high 24 points. Efe Ilica was electric with 22 points and 15 rebounds while Scottie Austin contributed 14 points in the win.
The Royals move to within four points of the Langara Falcons for fifth in the standings and have three games remaining on their schedule, and the Falcons have four.
Thursday night the Bearcats (10-13) shot the ball well at 49% and got production from up and down their line-up. D’Andre Palmer-Ormsby tallied a game high 27 points on 13-16 shooting and Spencer Dododza added 14 points and 15 rebounds in the setback.
The ‘Cats have one game remaining on the schedule before their bye heading into the postseason. They currently sit as the fourth seed, two points up on the Falcons who have three games in hand.
Saturday night the Royals and Bearcats meet at 8:00pm to wrap up Week 13 of the basketball regular season.
