The Mariners made second half adjustments and rode a 35-point third quarter becoming the first PACWEST team to 20 wins this season.
On the offensive side they shot 45% and hit 14-three pointers on Friday night. Kaeleb Johnson hit four of them and finished with a game high 26 points and Kameron Bender added 24 in the win.
As for the Blues, despite the loss they hang onto the third seed after shooting 43% from the field. Four of their five starters reached double-figures led by Damein Coleman’s 16.

The Chargers used a 36-point third quarter to pull away on Friday night to record their 14th win of the season.
They shot 39% from the field and were an impressive 39% from the three-point line knocking down 15 shots in total. Izzy Helmen was razor sharp connecting on five-threes and tallied a game high 26 points on nine of 15 shooting. They had balanced scoring with 10 players hitting the scoresheet.
The Royals couldn’t keep pace with the outside shooting of the Chargers and fall for the 13th time this season. They shot 32% and Scottie Austin was their high scorer with 14 points.

Okanagan Coyotes 96
There was plenty of offence in this game as the teams combined for 201 points on Friday night.
The visiting Bearcats shot 48% with six players finishing in double figures. Spencer Dododza was excellent with 18 points and 12 rebounds while D’Andre Palmer-Ormsby also finished with 18 points. The win was their ninth of the season, pulling them into a fifth-place tie with the idle Langara Falcons. A win on Saturday would move them into sole possession of fifth.
It’s been one of those seasons for the Coyotes. They put up big numbers offensively with 96 points on 46% shooting but still lose as they drop their 18th of the year. All five starters hit double digits on Friday led by Damani Green’s double-double of 28 points and 11 assists. Manny Biden was also very good adding 19 points in the setback.
