Guard Kameron Bender is lighting up his first year in the PACWEST
Guard Kameron Bender of the VIU Mariners is in his third season of eligibility and first in the PACWEST out of Tustin, California.
He has been an outstanding addition this season and has helped his club on both sides of the ball. He is averaging 17.3 points per game, second highest in the Conference along with connecting on 47% of his shots, adding three assists and a steal.
Last year, he was a 2024 NWAC champion with the Green River Gators (Auburn, WA), a West Region Second Team All-Star, and a NWAC All Tournament First Team All-Star. He shot over 50% from the field (including 35.3% from beyond the arc) and averaged 2.6 assists and two steals per game.
A couple of weeks ago he sat down with Ryan Watters to share some of his basketball story.
