The visiting Mariners earned a weekend sweep in Kelowna with the lopsided victory on Saturday.
Offensively they showed their balanced scoring with eight different scorers, of which five hit the double-digit plateau. Markus Modrovic led his club in scoring with 19 points, Max D’Amato came off the bench for 18 points and Kai Leighton had a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds.
The Coyotes did shoot 38% from the field, but found it difficult to match the offensive punch of the Mariners. Both Cam Sale and Luke Huddlestone collected 17 points each in the setback.
Next weekend the Mariners (17-1) visit the Douglas Royals (6-10) and the Coyotes (1-17) will regroup with a bye week.

The Blues played a gritty road game on Saturday and earned the lopsided win after pulling away in the fourth quarter, outscoring the hometown Royals 33-10.
On the offensive side Ajaypal Hayer had a terrific game scoring 24 points on 8-14 shooting in 29 minutes. Arshya Ghasemi hit three-three pointers and finished with 15 points. They had a great night shooting the basketball knocking down 50.7% of their shots.
The Royals struggled offensively shooting 37% with Efe Ilica leading his club with 16 points, the only Royal to hit double figures.
Next weekend the Blues (9-7) welcome the Langara Falcons (8-10) and Royals (6-10) entertain the VIU Mariners (17-1).

Easily the closest game on Saturday as the Bearcats scored an impressive road win, hanging on for the five-point victory to earn a weekend split.
They shot 40% offensively with Levi Van Egdom dropping in a game high 17 points behind three-three pointers. They also had very good production from their bench resulting in 30 of their 70 points.
The hometown Falcons missed out an opportunity to collect the weekend sweep shooting 36% from the field. Cameron Vaughn scored a team high 15 points and Patrick Robinson came off the bench to add 14 in the loss.
Next weekend the Bearcats (7-11) will host the Camosun Chargers (12-4) and the Falcons (8-10) visit the Capilano Blues (9-7).
