The Mariners, Blues and Falcons each win on Friday night
Capilano Blues 79
Douglas Royals 69

The quarter-by-quarter scoring was very strange. The Blues won the first quarter 19-8, the Royals the second frame 26-9, before the Blues won the third 30-23 and then the final frame 21-12.
Overall, the Blues shot 43% from the field and connected on 10-three pointers. Russell Curley continues his hot shooting finishing the game with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Kash Lang had a team high 18 points and David Featherston Jr chipped in with 16 as well.
The Royals shot the ball well at 37% but just fell short in the game led by Scottie Austin and his game high 19 points.

Langara Falcons 82
CBC Bearcats 80
The game was in doubt until Patrick Robinson knocked down a three-pointer with 44 seconds left and then Cameron Vaughn blocked the Bearcats last attempt at the buzzer to secure the two-point victory in a wild finish.
The Falcons shot 43% in the ball game and Robinson came off the bench to give his club a spark with 22 points including the game winning three. Kadyn Brown was a force with 15 points and nine boards while Vaughn added 14 points. It was the Falcons third straight win.
For the Bearcats it was their fourth loss in their last five games. They shot 42% but couldn’t find the final basket in the last 44 seconds. Before Robinson hit the game winning shot, the Bearcats allowed several offensive opportunities for the Falcons, not being able to grab the defensive board and it cost them dearly. On the other end Favour Igbinyemi led their offensive push with 18 points and Levi Van Egdom added 16 in the setback.
