Two games are ready to tip off on Saturday afternoon

Saturday afternoon will be the seasonal series finale between the Mariners and Blues after a high scoring ballgame on Friday night.
Both teams came out of the shute hot combining to score 57 points in the first quarter, the Mariners outscoring the Blues 31-26. They used that momentum to win their 13th game of the season and remain undefeated.
The Mariners shot 49% and four of their five starters finished with double-digits led by Tori Odom’s 29 points on 10 of 16 shooting. Both Richard Henderson and Landon Radliff tallied 17 points in the victory.
Percentage wise, the Blues actually shot better at 57% but they turned the ball over 22 times. Tyrone Asenoguan had another big game on the offensive side finishing with 21 points and was the only starter in double-digits. Zach Kim came off the bench to add 10.
Following their loss and a Camosun Chargers win, the Blues drop to third in the standings. They trail the first place Mariners by 12 points and will get another crack at the top team in the country on Saturday afternoon.

On Friday night the Chargers bench led the offensive push to help their club to their eighth win of the campaign.
Cormick Brown was the leader off the bench with a team high 17 points in 25 minutes. Both Calvin Somers and Charlie Lugsdin each chipped in with 12 points, with
Somers getting all of his from behind the arch. Believe it or not the leading starter was Jaime Palamos Molins who finished with seven points.
With the win the Chargers leapfrog the Capilano Blues for second place in the standings.
The Bearcats will look to play spoiler on Saturday afternoon in the back half of the doubleheader. On Friday they shot 34% with Jonathan Dillon once again leading the way with 18 points and snagged 10 rebounds for a double-double. Brad Lansdell added 11 points.
They desperately need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
