Falcons Move To Bronze Quarterfinal
After Thursday night's loss the host Langara Falcons will play in a bronze medal quarterfinal to try and keep their medal hopes alive
The host Langara Falcons started strong on Thursday night in the CCAA quarterfinal against the ACAA champion Holland Hurricanes but couldn’t maintain their pace and fell 120-77 at the final buzzer.
Their offence was led by the Player of the Game Royce Sargeant who scored 22 points, had eight assists and three rebounds. Both Drake Downer and Moeiz Athaya each had 15 points and Tyler Anderson came off the bench to drop 14.
On the defensive side the Falcons were able to hold down the CCAA Player of the Year Jace Colley to just 10 points however his teammates picked up his lack of scoring. Jordan Holness had a game high 24 points and Connor Therrien chipped in with 20. In all, six players hit the double-digit plateau.
The Falcons will now face the RSEQ wildcard Nomades de Montmorency who fell to the Sheridan Bruins 105-83 on Thursday. They will tip off at 3:00pm in the bronze quarterfinal. This will be the first ever meeting between these two schools.
