The PACWEST is proud to announce the Golf Athletes of the Week following the final PACWEST tournament this past weekend on the Island.
Female Golf Athlete of the Week
Alex Foston – VIU Mariners
The reigning PACWEST champion picked up where she left off winning at Highland Pacific Golf Club this past weekend in Victoria. On Saturday she shot an 81 and was atop the leaderboard heading into the clubhouse. Then on Sunday she shot a tournament low 79 for a two-day total of 160, nine strokes better than the second place golfer.
Male Golf Athlete of the Week
Tyler Robertson – Camosun Chargers
The fifth year veteran was able to use the home course advantage and scored the tournament win this past weekend at Highland Pacific Golf Club in Victoria. After the first round Robertson sat tied for third with a 75 in the clubhouse. Then Sunday he caught fire and shot a tournament low 70 to capture the first place with a two-day total of 145.
