This is the rematch after the Mariners swept the visitors on Friday by scores of 25-8, 25-12 and 25-19. With win the Mariners move to 3-2 while the Bearcats fall to 0-5 still looking for that first victory.

On Friday the Royals made quick work of the Chargers in a three-set sweep with scores of 25-17, 25-14 and 25-22. The visitors have now won four straight and sit atop the PACWEST standings at 7-1. With the setback the Chargers drop back down to .500 and sit in fourth place at 3-3.

These clubs had an excellent battle on Friday night pushing to five-sets. The Mariners would win, but by the slightest of margins winning 25-15, 23-25, 25-21, 23-25 and 15-13. With the victory the Mariners jump to 3-2, while the Bearcats still look for that first win dropping to 0-5.

Friday night was another back and forth match between these two PACWEST powerhouses. After the Royals went up 2-1 in the match, the Chargers came storming back winning the fourth set and forced a do-or-die fifth set. However the Royals would not be denied and recorded their sixth win of the season. The scores for were 17-25, 25-19, 26-24, 22-25 and 15-13.
