WOMEN

It’s the second half of the doubleheader in Nanaimo after the Mariners flexed their muscle on Friday night dominating the Blues 70-48.
The Mariners offence only shot 30% from the field and were led by Chloe Scaber coming off the bench to drop a game high 17 points. Shayce Johnston had another solid game under the hoop with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
The Blues on the other hand struggled offensively shooting 23% from the field, but credit the Mariners defence. Just one Blue reached double-digits as Kirsten Abo tallied 10 points.
Camosun Chargers @ CBC Bearcats – Saturday November 20, 1:00pm | WATCH HERE
It’s the second game in as many nights between these two schools after the Chargers scored a blowout win on Friday 95-37, holding the Bearcats to just 11 second half points.
The visitors from the Island shot 47.5% from the field with five players reaching double-digits. Allison Bobroske led all scorers coming off the bench for 15 points and Ashyana Kumar added 14 and Tegan Michel 12.
The Bearcats had a short bench that watched Samantha Leyenhorst lead the way with 13 points.
MEN
Camosun Chargers @ CBC Bearcats – Saturday November 20, 3:00pm | WATCH HERE
The Chargers and Bearcats are back on the hardcourt on Saturday afternoon to play the second half of their weekend doubleheader. On Friday the Chargers recorded the lopsided 76-59 victory behind a balanced 49% shooting.
Madhu McConnell led his club with 13 points and Jake Wilmott and Noah Helman each had 11. They have now won three straight, looking to make it four in a row on Saturday.
The Bearcats will try to bounce back after Friday’s loss in which they shot 43% from the field. Varshan Srikannathasan had a game high 23 points and Kyle Brown added 13.
