Week 3 of the PACWEST basketball season continues on Saturday
WOMEN
Langara Falcons (0-4) @ Camosun Chargers (1-2) – November 13, 1:00pm | WATCH HERE
The Chargers are coming off their first win of the season beating the Okanagan Coyotes 79-72 on Friday night. They took advance in the first quarter outscoring them 16-9 and never really looked back. Madyson Hautz led the way with a game high 21 points and Chelsea Espenberg added 14 as the team shot 36% from the field
The Falcons have now lost four straight after falling 79-61 to the VIU Mariners on Friday. They shot 40% from the field with three players reach the double digital plateau; Jayna Wilson had a team high 14, Janel Tantengco scored 12 and Rachel Labrador came off the bench with 10.

Friday night the Mariners won their third straight to open the season beating the Langara Falcons 79-61. They broke the game wide open in the third quarter outscoring the visitors 27-14. Amber Lease led the way with a game high 16 points and Shayce Johnston added 14. As a team they shot 44% from the field.
The Coyotes finally opened their schedule but fell 79-72 at Camosun on Friday. They showed a bit of rust shooting just 25% from the field. Soleil Wilding led her club with 17 points two players recorded a double-double; Jordan Kemper scored 12 and grabbed 12 boards while Elizabeth Henne had 11 and 11.

The weekend games between the Royals and Blues have been postpone to ensure the appropriate safety measures as per the PHO guidelines, these games will be rescheduled at a later date.

Okanagan Coyotes (0-1) @ VIU Mariners (3-0) - November 13, 2:00pm | WATCH HERE
The Mariners extended their win streak to three with a 103-84 victory on Friday night against the Langara Falcons. After a relatively close first half the Mariners exploded for 31 points in the third quarter to pull away and never looked back. They shot 56% from the field as Akoi Yuot again led the way with a game high 25 points. Tori Odom collected a double-double of 22 points and 11 assists and Jayden Coke added 22.
The Coyotes meanwhile played their first game of the season and battled neck and neck at the Camosun Chargers on Friday but dropped the ball game 75-68. Omon Edobar made his PACWEST debut scoring a game high 28 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Hunter Hughes added 15 points in 32 minutes of play.
Langara Falcons (2-2) @ Camosun Chargers (1-2) – November 13, 3:00pm | WATCH HERE
The Chargers recorded their first win of the season in a close contest with the Okanagan Coyotes 75-68. They would shoot 33% from the field led by Madhu McConnell and his 18 points and Cormick Brown chipped in with 13.
Meanwhile the Falcons ran out of steam at VIU on Friday night after keeping the first half fairly close. They coughed up 31 points in the third quarter and couldn’t recover. They did shoot 37% from the field and Kaeden Skelton led the way with 17 points. Nick Chan came off the bench, played 19 minutes and dropped 14.
Capilano Blues @ Douglas Royals - November 13, 6:00pm | WATCH HERE
The Blues will put their three game winning streak on the line when they visit the Royals on Saturday night. They are coming off back-to-back home wins last weekend over the Bearcats and have so far this season shot 51.2% from the field and averages 104 points.
The Royals will host their home opener after back-to-back losses at Langara last weekend. They have shot 39% from the field in their first two games and are averaging 84 points a game. Saturday night will give the Royals an opportunity to unveil their PACWEST championship banner after winning the Conference gold in 2019-2020.
