The Falcons Battle The Royals
The PACWEST season opens today when the Douglas Royals visit the Langara Falcons
After a 23 month absence the PACWEST soccer season opens today with the Douglas Royals visiting the Langara Falcons at historic Swangard Stadium.
Both teams will have several new faces on both sides of the ball, but also some key returners as well.
For the visiting Douglas Royals women’s team they will look to Hannah dela Cruz and Martina Pettenon to play leadership roles while the Langara Falcons are counting on Megan MacFarlane and Nadia Bigiolli to lead their club.
On the men’s side the Royals are the defending PACWEST champion and return a number of their veteran core including Quinn Desaulniers and Burhan Waisy. The Falcons are looking to vastly improve on their 2019 campaign and are counting on keeper Aleks Kalajdzic to slam the door on the high-powered Royals offence.
