The PACWEST is proud to announce the volleyball Athletes of the Week following Week 2 of the regular season.
Female Volleyball Athlete of the Week
Emily Lafleur – Douglas Royals
The first year setter put together solid performances against the COTR Avalanche in a three-game homestead over the weekend. On Friday she had 34 assists, two kills, five digs, two blocks and a pair of service aces as she ran the Royals offence. On Sunday she finished with 36 more assists with four blocks, five digs, two kills and two service aces.
Male Volleyball Athlete of the Week
Jenson Yuen – Capilano Blues
The Blues are the only team to go undefeated in Week 1 of the PACWEST season and setter Jenson Yuen was their offensive engine. He averaged 10 assists and two digs per set, and added four blocks. He led a great offensive attack with an impressive .432 kill efficiency on Saturday.
