A huge piece of the Capilano Blues 50th year celebrations was revealed on Saturday with the unveiling of the Blues Hall of Fame wall at CapU's Centre for Sport and Wellness.
Blues director of athletics and recreation Georgette Reed addressed a large crowd of Blues alumni, fans and supporters as the drape was lowered to show the Hall of Fame's inaugural class of 15 inductees.
"We were so pleased to see the turnout for the unveiling and that so many of our alums enjoyed catching up, sharing stories and seeing what the current Blues teams are doing," said Reed. "Our history is what makes us what we are today, and this Hall of Fame helps us celebrate our past and build to the future."
Inductees and their families were on hand to see for the first time their permanent plaques and get photos. The unveiling was part of a larger alumni event Saturday that coincided with the Blues PACWEST soccer home opener saw many former Blues athletes from across the last 50 years in all sports return to campus to catch up with old teammates, coaches and staff.
