1996-97 to 2000-01 seasons: is the top voted player who is the nominee for the CCAA Male Player of the Year and is also listed as the Conference Male Player of the Year in the archives.
The CCAA Male Player of the Year began in the 1996-97 season. Each Conference submitted their top voted player's name to the CCAA for national voting.
Pre-1996-97 there was no player of the year in badminton for either gender.
