PACWEST Spectator Code of Conduct
On the eve of the PACWEST basketball championship the Conference would like to remind fans coming to Capilano University to enjoy the playoff games of the expectations of spectators:
Spectator Code of Conduct
Security personnel and event staff will be present at the door/gates to watch all participants and spectators. Appropriate conduct, in general, includes showing appreciation for plays made by either competing team, and showing respect for both teams and officials. Violence or harassment in all forms, including signage, will lead to ejection for the remainder of the championships. Spectators may not enter the game court or encroach on the sidelines. The following are not permitted in the gymnasium:
- Air horns
- Alcohol
- Animals (except guide animals)
- Balloons
- Glass containers
- Weapons of any kind
- Smoking of any substance (including vaping)
- Professional digital SLR cameras
- Signage that does not honour the code of conduct as written above
Media
All personnel acting in a media capacity must be accredited and/or employed by the PACWEST. Drones, digital SLR cameras and any professional or commercial video or photography equipment are prohibited inside the facility without approved media accreditation. Personal use point and shoot cameras are allowed; however, no flash photography is permitted once the game has started. For the safety of our athletes and officials, only accredited media and PACWEST photographers are permitted to access the floor and use professional cameras inside the venue.
