Chargers Sweep Bearcats

The Camosun Chargers punched their ticket to a PACWEST semi-final with a three-set sweep of the host CBC Bearcats on Thursday night; 25-23, 26-24, 25-20.

In each of three sets the Chargers had to battle back in the later stages to pull out a victory as the Bearcats played a strong match but had difficulty closing out the set. Rachel Leduc led the Chargers with 11 kills and setter Mika Yamada showed a well-rounded game named the Player of the Match.

The Chargers now face the Douglas Royals in a PACWEST semi-final on Friday at 12:30pm for the right to play for gold.
